Placemakers Practice Study Group
You want to be a Placemaker. You're making a real commitment to growing and learning. You know it totally makes sense to build the framework you’ll need around you before you have projects, as the Guide encourages. ( Members at all levels get the beginning Guide.)
But there are so many pulls on your time- the day job and family commitments.
I can tell you that I was a cum laude honor student. I succeeded because I also knew that I did better and got more done when:
▫ There were others sharing ideas, and going through it alongside me. I found when I offered ideas to them, I also generated the juices that made them flow for me as well.
▫ The assignments had deadlines. Somehow, I found the time to focus to get it done well.
Plus, if you think about it, it’s less work if someone has structured the steps for you! It’s enough to just do the tasks without also creating the structure and schedule to make sure you’re doing the assignments.
So that’s what this Study Group will do.
Some Placemakers can structure it alone, but if you’re like me, invest in making sure your important first steps happen. Join the Study Group. I’m planning 6-7 meetings for no more than 9 people. It’ll be mostly weekly, but the research and feedback loops sessions will probably be 2-weekers. The Group sessions are relaxed and informal, and enjoyable. I will try to be responsive to the dynamic of the group that shows up. But I will hold you accountable.

When you get the thank you, there will be a Doodle link to find times that work best for you. Add your name and select what works. Once we have no more than 9 around similar times, we’ll schedule our first session for January.
In the meantime, start reading the Guide to become familiar with the steps into which we’ll dive more deeply...and remember to put the last Wednesday of January on your Calendar for the NPN launch meeting.
